Lasse Erik Pöysti (b. 24 January 1927 Sordavala, at the time Finland- April 5, 2019) is a Finnish actor and director. He is famous for portraying Moomintroll several times and cementing the Finnish-Swedish accent of the character with the Swedish audience. He remained a close friend of Tove Jansson.
For a time he was married to Finnish actor Birgitta Ulfsson, who had previously starred in both the 1949 and 1958 play and the 1969 television series.
