Moominvalley (Mumindalen), was the SVT's Christmas advent calendar program in 1973, based on the Moomin books. The series was directed by Pi Lind and Ingegerd Lönnroth. The series was made by mimartister in Moomin suits where the votes were at the event. Christmas in the Moomin Valley received good reviews in the press, this after three years when julkalendrarna had been severely criticized. [1] 1973 was the first year Christmas show was shown in TV-2, a channel that not everyone in the Sweden could see at that time. [2] It was also the first time that it was not the same calendar on TV and radio.
On 26 October 2005 Christmas show was released on DVD.
