The Joxter is a character who appears in the Moomin book "Moominpappa's Memoirs". The Joxter is Snufkin's father, as explained in the book. He was friends with Moominpappa in their youth. The Joxter is described as being very lazy and worry-free, explaining once that the perfect life for would be to live in a fruit tree and and eat the fruit as it grows. He however has a dislike for authority figures, a trait he shares with his son. He occasionally has premonitions, which he calls "Forebodings". He has or has had a relationship with The Mymble, which resulted in Snufkin. Some even believe that The Joxter had an affair with The Mymble.
